Multidisciplinary artist based in Quebec City, Linda’s artistic universe is located halfway between raw art and graphic art, between the painting and the poster, but also between the city and the countryside. Linda creates in a workshop surrounded by trees and green, but to dress her characters she draws her inspiration from the big city, its concrete and its palisades filled with images worn by rain, sun and wind.
“My creative process generally consists of two stages. Each of the characters is first born digitally; I love digital universe for all its possibilities and the great freedom of exploration it allows me to have. Then comes the printing on paper and the smoothing on wood. At this moment begins the second stage of creation. When the flexibility and fragility of paper come to rest and take its strength on the wood solidity brings a whole other dimension to my character, with painting and collage, I come to reinforce or totally transform what I had created at the very beginning“.
