As a graffiti artist and lettering adept, Michel Von Darck began painting Montreal walls in 1996, inspired by calligraphy. Then, in 2004, he began training in visual arts and gradually abandoned the street for the canvas. His works often highlight symbols related to adolescence and urbanity. Michel works a lot on rail installations, massive means of transport and urban mobility in general, questioning the relationship between flows and especially their effects on populations. As a neo-pop artist, Michel Von Darck blends his underground roots with a new look at Quebec culture, today pushing the limits of the abstract and the figurative.
