They’re currently completing their first full length feature (Earthquake Weapon), a dark comedy about toxic masculinity.

SIMO’s art studies the human condition, and the mechanisms of political power, from a caribbean perspective, tinted with Magical Realism.

Nafleri is a visual artist born on the island of Ayiti. He is a lover of literature and art, and his academic path is traced in this discipline; that is to say the completion of a college degree at Dawson College; and then to continue at Concordia University. This path was put on hold due to the pandemic.
The work produced by the artist focuses on the body, the person, the identity, the individual, his relationships and the gigantic canvas constructed with autonomy in mind. The images that emerge from these subjects form an abstract language; a kind of beacon to navigate the lived experience.
The works attached to the portfolio are digital; however, this does not limit the artist’s practice to this medium. Nafleri has over 40 homemade sketchbooks; a collection that dates back to 2016. Canvases in both acrylic and oil are also part of the catalog. Currently, Nafleri is learning the art of tattooing.
