TESTIMONIES

"In my young career as an artist I have had the opportunity to participate in many art events and Mtl in the Arts has been one of the most rewarding and satisfying experiences for me. Being from out of town I only knew Mtl in the Arts by name before attending and I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the event and the interest it generated in the neighborhood. I met some great people, both in the audience and among the artists and organizers, and I spent five very pleasant days on St. Catherine Street. I highly recommend this show to emerging and established artists alike."

"I have been pursuing a professional artistic career for more than 13 years now, which feeds my daily life on a full-time basis. My goal of "living from my art" and the inescapable necessity of sharing the creative fruit of my passion has been propelled by the opportunity offered by MTL EN ARTS. Indeed, this unique event in Montreal gathers at the same time a constant quality at the level of the organization, an impressive quality of talented artists and a quality of visitors as well as the beauty of their curiosity for the visual art. Thank you for being what you are MTL EN ARTS, your approach is important!

I can easily say that Mtl in the Arts has been a milestone in my artistic career. I participated for two years in a row, which is what allowed me to be discovered by an agency and to be able to live from my art today. Without the visibility offered by the festival, it would have taken me much longer to get where I am today. The event makes a lot of room for the next generation of artists, allows you to interact directly with the public and create contacts with other artists in a very professional setting. The accessibility of the venue allows you to share your art with a wider audience that doesn't necessarily go to galleries or art events.

Mtl en Arts was my first experience with a live exhibition. It's a warm, inviting, open experience with people. You meet artists and people who love art. You make friends for life. Through their generosity and attention, France and Stéphane gave me confidence and I can say today that Mtl en Arts was the first stone in the building of my career, which I hope will flourish in the visual arts. - Tuan Vu https://www.instagram.com/tuan.vu.art/

I love participating in the Mtl en Arts Festival! Every year there is something new and it is getting better and better with its different inclusive activities. It's also the time of year when I have the chance to meet and talk directly with people. I've been participating for over 10 years now and I have a loyal clientele that comes to visit me every year to see my new work. It is THE visual arts festival in Montreal that I find the most inclusive to meet artists. - Melsa Montagne https://www.instagram.com/melsamontagne/

Mtl en Arts was my first experience in street sales. After a year of participating in various markets, I have noticed that it is one of the busiest and most pleasant markets I have ever experienced. The encounters are diverse, the majority of passersby are looking to decorate their walls, and a few art connoisseurs are exchanging their inspirations. The animations punctuate the festival all in color. As someone who makes homoerotic art, I am thrilled to see that the festival has such a focus on 2SLGBTQIA+ diversity. I can't wait to see what the 2023 edition has in store for us ! Sylvain Rolando - Illustrator Oh Mon Doux! https://www.instagram.com/ohmondoux.art/
