EXPO-SALE

SAINTE-CATHERINE STREET, between Alexandre-DeSève and Papineau
40 artists in visual arts and crafts will exhibit under tents. This exhibition and sale will create a dialogue between passers-by on Sainte-Catherine Street and celebrate local creativity, the richness of diversity and the dynamism of our new generation. Come and meet the artists, exchange ideas and buy a work of art.

MTL EN ARTS FESTIVAL 25TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION

IN PERMANENCE
BETWEEN VISITATION AND STREETS
A retrospective of the festival’s 25 years will be on display in five panels along rue Sainte-Catherine, on the columns of Publicité Sauvage, featuring an account by the founder and artist testimonials, with archive photos.

With this exhibition, we wish to pay tribute to this extraordinary artist who, through his determination and refusal of convention, was able to rise above and open the way for others. In a way, he embodies the values that have been at the heart of Village communities since its foundation.

After a smashing success last year, the Art mobile project is back with an improved version. The artists will create 8 large format works on site, while strolling along Sainte-Catherine Street.
You will be able to find them on site and follow their progress (in both directions).

BETWEEN WOLFE AND MONTCALM STREETS
During this activity, the 2 artists will create 2 ephemeral murals in line with INTERLIGNE‘s mission.
Interligne is a non-profit organization that contributes to the well-being of people who care about sexual and gender diversity. Through its free 24-hour helpline, the organization provides support to LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones, as well as people working in health, social services and schools. Through its awareness-raising activities, Interligne also promotes greater openness in society towards the realities of LGBTQ+ people.

This innovative, creative and eco-responsible project aims to extend the life of products, more specifically to give a second life to used furniture by transforming them into a unique work of art.
The initiative encourages the public to bring their furniture to the festival and give it a new lease of life, free of charge.

Artist Franco Égalité invites the general public to take part in the creation of two collective murals, based on the concept of paint-by-number, highlighting diversity and inclusion.
The public paint according to the colors indicated, and collectively create a work of art that comes to life before their eyes!

CORNER OF ATATEKEN AND SAINTE-CATHERINE
To introduce children to art collecting, this gallery will only be accessible to children under 13. At a cost of $25, they will be able to purchase their first work of art and sharpen their artistic tastes.
A vernissage for children will be held daily from 4 to 5 pm. Sweets and orange juice will be offered to children for the occasion.

PARC DE L’ESPOIR – CORNER OF PANET AND SAINTE-CATHERINE
Emmanuel LAFLAMME, in collaboration with LOUIS LETTERS and Mathieu NORBERT-LAMARRE, proposes an artistic co-creation activity in which the public is invited to throw paint balls to create an ephemeral work of art.
The aim is to promote constructive values through a creative gesture accessible to young and old alike.
COME AND CREATE A WORK OF ART WITH BALLS OF PAINT

Each evening of the festival, at around 8 p.m., the results of the ephemeral work will be revealed, and a work co-created by the two artists will be drawn from among the participants.

Competition between 2 artists. Eight artists will face off in seven matches in an artistic competition. Creation of works in limited time on a theme chosen by the public. Winner chosen by the public. Background music and colorful animation by a Drag Queen.
